At IT Patagonia, we believe that technology is a strategic enabler: when combined with knowledge, ethics, and people, it transforms the way organizations work. We are looking for a professional with extensive experience in analysis, design, and programming on Mainframe and SAFE I and II systems to lead the improvement of solution performance and architecture, and to support development teams in deploying these improvements to production.

What will your challenges be?

  • Detect where performance is lost: You will analyze the performance of transactions and batch processes to identify specific opportunities for improvement.
  • Propose improvements with real impact: You will generate proposals for improvement in both data access and program logic and JCLs.
  • Improve the solution architecture: You will design and program improvements that strengthen the solution's architecture, contributing your knowledge of banking modules.
  • Supporting development teams: You will work alongside them on the modifications to be implemented, so that each proposal comes to fruition.
  • Measure what is achieved: You will perform post-implementation follow-up to verify and document the improvements achieved.
  • Maintaining integration between systems: You will work with the SAFE/LINK/BANELCO integration, Batch Terminal, journal and other components of the solution, ensuring that the improvements are applied without affecting its operation.
  • Sustain continuous improvement with conviction: You will defend your proposals with technical arguments, understanding that some will be challenged or not implemented, and continue proposing new alternatives.
